Mon 28th – Long Multiplication – Grid Method

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To become skilled using grid method to complete long multiplication sums

SUCCESS CRITERIA: To be able to multiply any 3 digit number by a 2 digit number without making any mistakes.

ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY: Calculator Nim

LESSON: Use this lesson to develop Long multiplication by grid method

Use question screens repeatedly to give lots of practice.

      Hi this is another method to solve these long multiplication sums. The method in the link is the more traditional approach. the grid method enables students to see where all the individual sub answers come from.
