Friday 24th Feb – Square Numbers, Triangle Numbers and Divisibility Tests

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: you will learn how to generate Square Numbers and Triangle Numbers and discover how to test if a number is divisible by 2, 3 , 4, 5 and 10

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be able to write down the first 10 square and triangle numbers and be able to tell if a number can be divided exactly by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10

STARTER: Watch this Video

LESSON: Using the Video explain how triangle numbers can be generated. Ask for other patterns that can be spotted

Use this Video to show how to generate square numbers.

Extra Challenge if time:

Add together two triangle numbers that are next to each other. What do you notice? Can you explain why this happens?

After Lunch.
