OBJECTIVE: To Recognise a Number sequence and extend it

SUCCESS
CRITERIA: You will be able to write down the rule for a number sequence and then use it to extend the number sequence

STARTER: For each of these number sequences Copy down the sequences and then add the next 3 numbers in the sequence

1. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
   
2. 30,29,28,27,26,25,
   
3. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11,
   
4. 6, 8, 10,12,14,16,
   
5. 20, 18, 16, 14, 12,
   

LESSON: Discuss answers to above sequences and establish for each one the starting number and the rule of the sequence
