LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Discover how to draw and measure angles less than 90 degrees with a protractor

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be able to measure and draw angles less than 90 degrees accurately with a protractor.

ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY: Angler Game: Reminder of what  acute, obtuse and reflex angles

LESSON: Use the protractor tool on the IWB to demonstrate how to measure an acute angle.

Measure these angles - Sheet 1 All Acute angles, Sheet 2 all obtuse angles

Check you answers using my answer sheet

Now in your text book draw all these acute angles:

  1. 35°
  2. 65°
  3. 15°
  4. 85 °
  5. 28 °
  6. 73 °
  7. 87 °
  8. 12 °
  9. 3 °
  10. 48 °
Once you have drawn all the angles get someone else on your table to measure and check them for you.
