ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY: Get out your cards from Period 1 and in pairs test each other on the fraction and decimals we looked at
LESSON: Write some decimals on board and remind students of H T U.t h th so they are aware of when a decimal is a tennth, or a hundreth or a thousandth.
Show ho to write decimals such as 0.45 as a decimal 45/100 etc - lots of examples
Give them 20 to convert themselves
PLENARY: Checking answers, student feedback.
If time look at some equivalent fractions - eg 50/100 = 1/2...
Give them some simple decimals to convert to fractions and then simplify to an equivalent fraction
